Editor's Letter

Dear Reader,

There’s something quietly terrifying about sleep, isn’t there? Each night, we surrender to it, and, for a third of our lives, we’re not really here.

For our fifth issue, we wanted to explore that strange, slippery world. From restless nights in haunted beds to lucid dreams and sleep paralysis, these pages are full of stories that blur the boundary between reality and nightmare.

We’ve got ghosts, insomniacs, night terrors, and more than one creature lurking in a midnight corner. I’m endlessly proud of the writers who’ve trusted us with their work, and of the ways they’ve stretched such an open-ended prompt into unexpected directions. I’m honoured to be able to share their work with you, and encourage you to show them your support!

As always, I’m indebted to our Editorial Team who have helped to bring this issue to life. Without you all, Divinations Magazine wouldn’t be what it is today.

Finally, I hope these pieces thrill you, unsettle you, and maybe even keep you awake a little longer than planned!

Sweet spooky dreams,
Amy Douglas
